7 Years...WOW!
I don't know why our 7 year anniversary seems to be sentimental to me, but it is. Maybe it's because my 20 year class reunion is this year and, thanks to Facebook, I have been in contact with several of my classmates from school. Maybe it's because my oldest daughter is driving me around now thanks to completing a driver's education course and earning her permit, or maybe it's because my middle daughter is taller than I am and my baby is almost out of kindergarten. I'm not sure if it's one thing or a combination of all things but this is a very emotional time for me right now. It's hard for me to fathom that I am the mom and not the happy-go-lucky kid. It's like when I was at my mom's 50th birthday celebration and FINALLY realized my granny wasn't 50 anymore. Why is it so hard to wrap my mind around all this?
I am so happy at the place I am at in life. I am poor as hell, constantly juggling money from one thing to the next. I drive a van that I am paying to much money for and desperately needs some mechanic work and a car that is broken down in the street right now. My house is never cleaned the way I would like it to be, it is not decorated with fancy decorations and we don't have enough room in this little house for our family of five. But in other aspects of life I am so rich and so blessed. I have an amazing husband that puts up with me in good times and bad...through thick and thin and has never once faltered on his love or devotion to me and our girls. That same wonderful husband has accepted and loved my two older girls just as much as his own. He told me once that he wondered why he had to wait so long for us to come together, but then after he met Alex and Jordan he knew why. They are HIS 3 girls and I can't tell you how amazing and proud that makes me feel to know I waited for the right man...the man that would help me raise my girls to be amazing, loved, and WANTED young women.
Yep, 8 years ago I would never have imagined I would be where I am right now in life. I was so against marriage and the thought of trusting a male that I would never in a million years have believed that I would find someone I would be willing to let my guard down for and trust enough to open up my love, my life and my children to. Yes, I am a blessed person.
Last year we went to Boondock's in Boise to celebrate our anniversary, this year we went to Bear World. Yes, my husband chooses to celebrate our anniversary with all of us...the entire family...because that's what he married...a family. I LOVE HIM.

Snow Snow Go Away...
Samantha, Lysett and Kyson are ready for the snow to be gone and the nice weather to be here! They couldn't resist going out to ride bikes in what was left of the snow and the rain.
