Wedding at the Salt Lake City Temple
We drove to Salt Lake City on Thursday to put Jordan on a plane [:-( I miss my baby!] to Pam's house and to pick up Alex and Mya coming from Pam's house...5 1/2 hours in the airport!
My niece DeLisa married "the man of her dreams" on Friday so here are a couple of pictures of them after coming out of the temple. There is also a couple pictures of Alex, Mya and Sam in front of some of the flowers I love so much. Friday was nice and extremely hot but always so beautiful with the hundreds and hundreds of flowers they have everywhere.

Celebrating 6 years....
We went to Boise for our anniversary and took the kids to Boondocks for some fun. Here are a few of the pictures we were able to get of the girls having some fun. It was between 95 and 98 degrees this day. We slathered in sunscreen a couple different times so no one got burned!

Jordan's 12th Birthday Celebration With Friends....
Hard to believe my little Jo Jo turned 12 but she did! In March we had a roller skating party for her and some of her friends at the local roller rink. I look at all her friends lined up looking so grown up. I remember when they were all babies on the first day of kindergarten! Britnee, Alex and Samantha enjoyed skating at the party. You can tell by the look on Sam's face that she thinks teenagers are a little tough to deal with!

Kinda brings a tear to yer eye, don't it?
Susie Lee done fell in love,
She planned to marry Joe.
She told her pappy so.
You’ll have to find another.
And planned to marry Will.
But after telling pappy this,
He said, “thars trouble still.”
And please don’t tell yo' mother.
I know is yo’ half brother.
Just do what makes yo’ happy.
Marry Will or marry Joe;

My kids are how old?
Okay school is out in 20 days, I can deal with that. I love summer and having the kids home. I realized a few things over the last month or so. Alex will be in high school in the fall. We went through the one inch thick book of electives, sports, etc. and chose some electives for her. Jordan is going to middle school so we did the open house at the school and chose the electives she wants. Samantha will be starting kindergarten so we spent hours looking for her birth certificate and immunization records and got her signed up during the kindergarten roundup. No big deal right? YEAH RIGHT! How did my babies get so old? Alex informed me she can start driver's ed in January of 2009....ONLY NINE MORE MONTHS....MY BABY....DRIVING!!
I look at my girls and I can hardly believe they are mine. I am still so young that I can't imagine having kids as big as they are...right? I am still young right? When I stand in front of Jordan I am just about looking into her nose. She tells me, on a daily basis, that I am getting shorter. Alex and Jordan both make sure I know how old I am, and not just the number that I am. They want me to know I am OOOOOLLLLLDDDD. They have also started making fun of me when I say some piece of clothing in the store is cute, that my hair is totally out of style and my choice of music is less than impressive. It's true...my babies have grown up and it's time for me to deal with it. The only hope I have while Alex and Jordan are beginning their teenage years is Samantha. She is still young enough to let me put bows in her hair and she still thinks it's fun to "hang with mom"...for now...

Something fun to do while you are waiting for my next blog...
Mike just called and said the weather channel has reported an 80% chance of 1-3" of snow tonight! Is it not the end of April? Then when I logged on to do a quote I noticed a story on foxnews about forgetting global warming, time to prepare for an ice age. What the!?! I seriously do not want to put my sandals up again...

I just love these incredible heartwarming stories...
In 1986, Mkele Mbembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Mbembe approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it.
As carefully and as gently as he could, Mbembe worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Mbembe stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away.
Mbembe never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.
Twenty years later, Mbembe was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mbembe and his son Tapu were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mbembe, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put i t down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man. Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mbembe couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant.
Mbembe summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Mbembe' s legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly .
Animal experts have indicated that it probably wasn't the same elephant...

1 pulled tooth closer to being an official hillbilly...
I went to the dentist today to get another tooth pulled. Pretty close to being the toothless Annie my mamma never wanted. I showed up at 9:10 a.m. for my 9:15 a.m. appointment only to find out my appointment wasn't until 10:15 a.m. Oooh well got some "down time" sitting in the waiting room. It was funny seeing the guy come out that was scheduled before me. He was getting his wisdom teeth pulled so he could go on his mission and he had gotten knocked out. He was hilarious! You would have thought he was drunk. He kept telling the receptionist "MaKenzie your so pretty" in a slurred kind of way. His dad couldn't get him out of the door fast enough. It took them awhile to get my tooth out because it was pretty stubborn. I am not one to be afraid of the dentist but I do hate that burning fleshy smell when they use the drill. I could do without that! They ended up breaking up the tooth and digging it out so I had to have a couple stitches...I am thinking I will try and milk this for as long as I can.
Samantha was upset because I wasn't going to make it to her dental appointment since I messed up on the time. Luckily the drugged up soon to be missionary was done about 20 minutes early and I was able to make it to Samantha's appointment. She was so cute. She was sitting in the dental chair and when the dentist brought over the needle she closed her eyes and didn't even move. The dentist gave her the shots, loosened her two front bottom teeth and pulled them out without her so much as even flinching. The nurse was cleaning her up and putting the gauze in for her to bite down on and she was still sitting there with her eyes closed. I said "you can open your eyes sis, your done!" She sat up and said "I am?" She didn't even realize the teeth were already out! After the ordeal I went back to work and it wasn't long before I got a call from Sam crying because she wanted her teeth back in...
