About Me

My photo
I have been married to Mike for 7+ amazing years. We have 3 beautiful and fantastically sarcastic daughters. Alexandra is 15, Jordan is 14 and Samantha is 7. I love my babies and my husband with everything I have and wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world!

Hey Samantha! The 80's called and they want their hair-do back!

Just celebrating some "crazy-hair-day" at school. Samantha's classmates voted her the winner in her class. The prize? Reese's peanut butter cup pumpkin. She said it was worth all the "ratting."

Money, money, money...mooooonnnnnnaaaaaay!

The girls were hard at work earning money from my boss again this week. Wish I had the money to pay them to get this kind of cleaning done at the house!

Michael's 40th Birthday Present...

Thanks to some birthday's gifts presented as cash Mike was able to finish his art work. He "now has his girl's with him at all times!" The pictures used were when Alex was 3 and Jordan was 1 year old.

Brain Teasers....Mmmmmmm....

Lets see who can answer these correctly! Use the comment button to post your answers...

1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first room is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in years. Which room is the safest for the murderer?

2. A woman shoots her husbands, holds him underwater for 5 minutes and finally she hangs him. Another 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How is this possible?

3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?

4. Name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday.

5. This in an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

Why do we always do this?

It never fails. When we do pictures of the kids...right after...one of them decides it's time to make a change. It could be different hair, contacts instead of glasses...a number of things. This time it was Sammy's turn. Here is the new haircut, how it looks down and put up. Had to promise crazy pictures so she would give me pretty pictures.

My girls think I am a Geek with a capital G!

I made the girls let me take pictures of them "walking" to their first day of school. How did I get them to agree to this? I reminded them that I could drive them to school and walk them to their first hour class for pictures of them in thier desks...worked like a charm...

Back To School!

Alex, Jordan and Samantha started school this morning. Alex and Jordan were devastated when I told them thier dad and I were going to take them to school and walk them to their first hour class so we could get pictures! For some reason middle schooler's and high schooler's don't think it's really cool to have mom and dad take them to school!?! I don't get it.

My beautiful babies all dressed up for school.

Jordan rockin' the middle school look!
Samantha learning how to work the breakfast line at school.
Samantha putting all the school supplies in her desk. Will she really use all that glue?

Lions and Tigers and Bears and High School Registration...Ooooh My!

Okay. So sometime in July I get a letter from Hillcrest High School telling me I have the option to participate in early registration. If I send off the fees before August 1st then I can "avoid the long lines" of the normal registration day. I decided this is a great idea, so I sent my check off in plenty of time and was happy to receive my packet of paper work to fill out in the comfort of my own home. The note said I could go in on the 12th of August to "breeze" through registration day.

Now, it's August 12th and I am ready to get to the school, drop off my paperwork, get my receipt, the locker and Alex's activity card. I was a little disappointed to see that EVERYONE ELSE IN TOWN TOOK ADVANTAGE OF EARLY REGISTRATION. I spent the next 2 1/2 hours standing in long lines! First, get your receipt and drop the paperwork in the baskets, then to the next long line to get the locker number and combination, then to the third line to get pictures and print out the activity card...last but not least to the counselors line to take care of a schedule issue.

Next year I think I will take my chances and just go during normal registration. Wish me luck, Jordan's middle school registration is this Thursday!

Family is Fun...

On the 24th of July my family and Pams family met at Downata Hot Springs in Downey Idaho to join in on our Mann Family Reunion. Some people showed up Friday, some on Saturday and still others on Sunday. It is always fun to get together with family and socialize. These pictures are some that Terry Mann sent to me because I haven't rounded up my camera yet to get our pictures downloaded. At the reunion we usually spend time swimming, having home made snow cones, breaking pinatas and we even had a talent show this year thanks to Jordan's great idea. I will post more pictures as soon as I get my camera found!

Wedding at the Salt Lake City Temple

We drove to Salt Lake City on Thursday to put Jordan on a plane [:-( I miss my baby!] to Pam's house and to pick up Alex and Mya coming from Pam's house...5 1/2 hours in the airport!

My niece DeLisa married "the man of her dreams" on Friday so here are a couple of pictures of them after coming out of the temple. There is also a couple pictures of Alex, Mya and Sam in front of some of the flowers I love so much. Friday was nice and extremely hot but always so beautiful with the hundreds and hundreds of flowers they have everywhere.
